Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. After that, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd failed to make an appearance at the. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy by using TKO.
